The Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy has a state certified domestic violence program for perpetrators. The program consists of a minimum of 26 weekly group sessions, plus a minimum of 6 additional monthly group sessions, in compliance with state requirements.

Domestic Violence Perpetrator's treatment is a successful mode of therapy, which aids in the safety of victims and cessation of verbal, emotional and physical abuse. The first phase of treatment includes testing, obtaining background information, and an interview with our staff. The mode of treatment is group therapy which focuses on accountability, responsibility, respect, and safety.

Progress during treatment is monitored and reported to the court. The completion of treatment must include active group participation and assurance of the curtailment of abusive behavior.

Substance abuse can be an additional factor in abuse. We have the ability to do alcohol/drug assessments in our State Certified Addictions Recovery Program.

Management is not a substitute for Domestic Violence treatment. We offer anger management for individuals who would not be court ordered for Domestic Violence treatment under WAC 388-60.
